Well just got back from the shop, may have some outdrive issues. May need to start lookin for a complete Volvo SX drive assembly from the transom assy. to the prop. This will all change over from a Cobra, but the SX has to be off of a big block. Any suggestions where to look? Anyone!

Yea, whole new engine! I did a balanced and forged roller shortblock with ZZ9 GM performance cam, edelbrock heads, with edelbrock intake and holley 650 DP. I did gain 8 mph overall, I guess 52 is all she has!! It is a heavy boat for a single SBC

21P prop labbed to a 20, seems to be best so far.

For a small block in that size boat 52 is respectable. I really dont know anyone that runs wide open all the time anyway. Thats still a he!! of a lot better than dropin 30 to 40k or more for a newer boat the same size and same speed. My old tub is just fine when i think of it that way. And the old tubs still look good settin next to newer ones. Even better when you dont have a payment.

Yea, it has come a long way, i am used to my friends 97MPH formula, I am spoiled, I may buy his 88 Formula 311 if things go well, it will do 75 GPS, it runs good too with alot of updates and I can get it for less then 30,000! he has around 60,000 in it.
