Sorry RIK, according to what i was told my 16" drop box ASD8 with trim and steering was 685lbs. Do not get me wrong, i was responding to a question about CHRIS CAT weight. I LOVE MY ARNESONS and would not trade them if they weighed twice as much. If you want an endorsement, send someone to me!!!!:D:D:D

JEFF

That is the weight for a Bronze Drop Box drive not the aluminum housing you have.

I don't think we actually ever made a completely bronze unit.

No Biggie..

I may get quite a suprise when I take my boat across the scales on the trailer. It may be heavier than I think.

Jeff,
Just curios how the weighed the boat with out the trailer. I did this once, took the whole rig truck boat & trailer over the scales and then went and put the boat in the water and went back to the scales with the truck and trailer. Then weighed the truck and trailer and then the truck with out the trailer to get the trailer weight. Pain in the a$$ process. Did they have a sling of some kind or did you do what I did?

When I owned it, I weighed my 1985 Chris Cat with trailer and trailer without boat on certified scales and the net was 8,500#.
Its a pleasure boat built with foam core, but the original "decorative" cabin interior was removed.

Due- this is what I heard from several sources but I need to confirm. Myco sent me a letter stating trailer weighs 2500#. I have some certified scales about 35 minutes from my house. Will try the disconnect thing from the truck this summer.

Offshore,

I was lucky, :Dthe scale is about 4 miles from our marina so i did as you, weight it all then drop the boat at the marina and then weigh again. Hope this helps

CCAT30- I looked at your pictures and you have a Myco trailer also (painted primer black) so you have about 2500 lbs in that. You have speedmaster 2's also. Blowers do add some weight but that means the boat is about 9500 lbs equivalent weight. That's not far off - 80 gals gas is 640 lbs so boat empty is about 8800 lbs.

I know there are differences in these boats, so it is interesting to see what they weigh.

Updating an older thread..

Boat and trailer weigh 10,940. Tanks 1/3 full. Trailer is 2450 so boat is 8,490. This is right where it should be for a pleasure version.
