So...what's the skinny?

How was the test drive? Did it dance? Whats the interior like? Good shape or weathered?

Beefmalone the boat your looking at is on hans website: http://www.chriscraftstingers.com/ga...=Muldrow%20390 Does look to be in nice shape. If stringers and transom are good its worth 20k but in todays economy you can get it lower.

I decided to take a pass. Talked to someone from the area that knew the boat. Told me the guy's brother had grounded it a couple years ago requiring new lower units. Not a big deal really, but when I asked the guy about it he denied it ever happened. Also noticed the gallon jug of oil and 2 extra quarts in the engine bay. The guy I spoke with about it said he knew the man who owned it previously and that guy thought the motors were pretty used up then much less now. The owner's info is on that stinger website if anyone else is interested. I'd rather pay a little extra and not have any worries. thanks for all the advice on this one!

Sorry to hear that the boat is on the edge...

Well it sure looks like a nice boat in the pics and too bad it's not cheap enough to spend a few pescoes and repower the old classic!?!
I suppose a pair of Merc 570's with number 8 drives would do the job?????

What do you think?:thankyouthankyou:

That would be SWEET. Again, I don't even know if that is really the case with the boat. I just don't have the knowledge or experience to tell so maybe I passed up a sweet deal? I donno. I really want a MV-colored boat whether it's a 390x or 38kv so I guess I will keep on looking for the "perfect" boat.

did you ever think that the guy that was saying bad stuff about it was trying to buy it cheaper so if you didnt buy it he would have a better chance to steal it.

beefmalone 02-23-2012 09:14 PM

I doubt it since he is on the board and already has a KV plus he's local to the seller so if he wanted it he coulda snaked it up long before I was going to get there.
