Default Stinger shifting w/ OMC engines

Was just looking around on ebay and saw this ad...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1988-...item416b5a3733

Powered by Ford 460 OMC King Cobras. Says you have to turn engines completely off to shift from forward to reverse or vice versa. Makes it sound like that's normal procedure. That can't be right can it?

I would have to think the shift sensors are bad, no way does any boat normally have to be shut off and on to do that... you would think they would fix that LOL

Wow look at the paint on those drives! Unreal how much detail they put into them!

Holy crap talk about detail. It looks nice but how will it look after 2 or 3 years?

The shift interrupters on a OMC works with the OMC electronic Ignition. They no longer work cause homeboy installed MSD's. There are ways to make it work but it has been so long that I forgot what the fix was. I had a single with a big cam so as long as I timed the shift correctly, i never had a problem. King Cobra parts are becoming real hard to find though so be be careful.

good looking, but you would have to make a ignition interupter for it.
