The one's I had converted, we set the prop shafts 3/4" higher than the SSMII height. It seemed to work well with no issues

TRS wont work on Chris Cat. Lots of experience with that. I have SSMII's here. Best set up I remember was fours on boxes on drivelines. Chris

Do you have an extra RIGHTHAND 2 for sale?

I have a pair. I have to pull them out to let you know what kind of shape they are in.

Back in the 1980's when the Chris Cats first came out, they were originally equipped in base spec with TRS drives, and all were replaced at factory expense with Speedy II's. The TRS lowers couldn't handle the loads of surfacing and would basically "spit" the prop shafts due to carrier failures. So, basically I wouldn't go there as I would expect the same results! The Speedy II sits one inch lower, so you will have to raise the X by that much to properly surface the props or you will be giving up a bit of performance. Good luck! I love those old Chris Cats and would like to find one to restore at some point.

TGC-32 sold my Dad his new Chris Cat in 1985. My Dad backs this story up. TRS blew apart all the time. Went to II's and the problem was fixed. Getting on plane was a little harder though.

Man, what I wouldn't give to find your old man's Chris Cat! That was the best looking one of all, custom done in similar blue gel-coat to "Black Duck". If I could locate it, I sure would like to buy it and put some BIG power in it! I re-sold it for your dad back in the mid-90's to a guy from New Jersey, but I don't know what happened to it after that.

I have tried to find it with no luck either. I would consider buying it back as well if I sold my AT.

All right, if I find it I'll let you buy it. Seems only right for you to have it. You can take me for a ride in it!
