I just had one installed on my TG. I love it. Couldn't stand those funky flaps any longer.

Take the boat to Guardado Marine. Eddie will hook you up.

I am getting mine out this afternoon. Will get some pics for you.

I too would love as much info as possible on that. I have a local shop that can make it out of plastic. Just get me a template, I am SURE it won't cost much ($100 bux??)
Then I'd need to know how to install and mount it.

LS- let me know what you find out.

The glass windscreen itself is curved but not hard to do.It is the aluminum mounting bracket that has to fit the curvature of the cowling. mounting is easy. The way it fits it actually covers all the holes from the flaps!

You should be able to buy the whole setup from Cig for under$1000.00.It comes with the bracket, plexi, foam, vinyl and screws. The foam and vinyl get mounted on the cockpit side for a nice finished look. They will match what ever vinyl you have.

I recently bought a 2002 30 mystique it is now advertised on this site. I realy don't like the wind, my old boat had canopies so i got no wind. I priced the windshield from cigarette with the monting bracket , the wan 1700.00 for the complete package and I have to drill the holes in the plastic. That doesen't seem worth it to me. If any of you guy's know a better way I would appreciate the info.

$850 was parts only. You have to add the labor.Phil can do it for you.As far as the speed is concerned,Phil says that it can rob up to 2 MPH off your top end,but it is well worth it.Those flip-up flaps are useless.

I would let Phil do it , it will come out right, and you wont have to yell at high speeds, worth every dime...

I have heard mixed reviews on this. My ride has ran the exact same speed with the windscreen as it did before it was installed. If your running into a stiff wind you might see a difference. It is totally worth it.

Hey Craig,
Next time you are at the shop have Hugh show you the windshields and brackets. BK usually keeps this unit in stock. Over the last year we have installed a few of these. The new Top Gun would look killer with one on it!! Plus we could put it on while it's there. HAHA!!

I'v been thinking about putting one on the flat deck I agree the the flip up's are for sh^%$#T. I would guess the material is lexan not plexi. I would think I could draw one on auto-cad and find someone with a water-jet to cut it. Should be fairly inexpensive. Would love to see some photos of the backing plate and trim.

If you go acrylic I have a laser to cut it!

the new windscreen is 1750? I'm updating the swim platform on my 2002. CRT wants 3900 for the new platform. Has anyone gotten a price on updating their seats to the 2005 style?

ExpressCat and Spitfire--what did you use to do the padded dash on boats?

I've got an olde Formula and the black fiberglass dash is faded and ugly anyway and I've thought what yours looks like would be good way to solve problem. WOuld appreciate and info.

How hard is it to install the new style windscreen. Has anyone here done it before that could write the procedure......

AcryliCo 05-10-2005 05:04 AM

Re: New Style Windscreen

If anybody has a template we can provide the windshield for under $400.00, even with the new fluorescent colors. Thickness looks like 3/8". The problem is what appears to be an extrusion behind it....
