I spoke to the company that sells the vinyl to Cig.They reccomend Fantastic only.Any other cleaner they feel could hurt the vinyl. Also, they said to apply 303 marine protectant after you clean. Those are the only products they woulduse. On a older vinyl, softscrub with bleach works well.I would only use that if all else fails.

Somebody noted in a recent thread that they used the "Mr Clean scrubbie pads". I tried them and they are fantastic. Use your favorite spray cleaner then rub lightly with the Mr. C. pad. It works wonders in seconds. Now I keep them on the boat for a quick touch up.

Also try instead of using rubbing compound for small areas fo grime etc on your paint or gel finish.

Who makes 303, does anyone know?

I've found the Oragne Blast by Greased Lightning works well for most general cleaning and of course smells great, no bleachy smell. But for more deep cleaning I like Softscrub Gel with bleach. Used on a damp sponge gets rubbed in and gets down into the grain of the vinly doing a good job. Never been a big fan of the spray on protectorants, in fact in years ago have seen them do more damage than good, maybe the newer formulations are better, don't know.
Good luck.

I'm with expresscat39 , those pads are unreal. The upholstery in our Top Gun was so bad I thought I was going to have to replace it. A bunch of us were sitting around at a marina and the subject came up and a guy I didn't even know came up and gave me a box to try. I tried alot of cleaners and the 303 cleaner was great but nothing was as good as the Mr Clean pad. I would recommend the 303 protectant after that. You can find the 303 at west marine.

Orange Blast works great, also Armarol Multipurpose Cleaner works just as well. Not abrasive and doesn't harm the expensive paint jobs. It's been working on over 8 boats for the past 10 years!!!!
