I bet that guy's underwear were stained after coming down the mountains!!!!!
The Armada has a 9000 pound max tow w/ 123 inch wheelbase. I found out 1/2 way through the travels what the company was going to use to haul her and I almost chit.
I called the boat store to show concern
and advised on liability, then i reviewed my insurance policy...I was sweating it until it landed; waiting for the call from Highway patrol to come pick up pieces of fiberglass on the freeway somewhere between Tx and my house.
I met up with the company about 45 minutes away to follow the tow in-scarry...besides the undersized tow vehicle...the trailer was not set up properly, positioned incorrectly, short and bent bunks, lack of tongue weight (many, many issues to work out with the boat store now that the vessel is home that may be on a future thread
)...so it was a handful for this guy to haul my tug with the equipment he used. I don't think he will be making the same mistake on his next tow. I will say he was a true gentleman and understanding of by concerns when we met up and still frighten to say the least of his 50 hour wild tow ride.
Thanks guys for the nice greetings...happy to be in the family.
