Default Cable Lengths

Anybody know the lengths of the cables for the drives to indicators on a Cafe with TRS's? Looked at the ends and do not see any markings.

Thanks

I replace all 8 cables on my 85 Mistress. Pulled them all and ordered new ones. When I went to put them back in I found that they were all about 3'-5' to long. I figured Cigarette just stocked them for a 38' Flat deck and used them on the 35' too. You Might want to take one end loose and pull on it to see if you have to much cable to start with. Good luck

if they are the morse red jacket cables, the size is written on the cable in inches. if it is worn off by the drive, check under the dash......they put the size on each end.

Don't know how much help this is, but it should give you a general idea. I just replaced both of my tranny shifter cables with Morse Supreme Reds and the starboad was 20' and the port was 22'. As Doug said, the original cables were at least 3' too long, the new one's were sized with jus tthe right amount of slack. If you went 22' and 24' I think you'd be right in the ball park with just a little slack.

Just replaced the port shifter cable on my '90 Cafe (Bravo drives). It took a 24'....
