35 mistress is getting close pics of progress
well im almost there with my 79 mistress. i was amazed at how good a shape this boat is in, you could shave in the reflection from the inside of the fuel tanks, they have a mirror finish. there is no rot what so ever any where. everything works, im amazed. the guy at the rigging shop recommended i relaec the fuel senders in the tanks ( i figured they worked 25 years the'll keep on workin) i re plumbed the fuel system with 1/2 id hoses and fittings, installed a pair of trick fuel/water seps and aeromotive electric fuel pumps to prime the mechanicals. installed 577 n/a's fresh b/w 72 trannies with as many clutches as they could fit in em, and ssm#3a's. look at how high the drives are in the rear shots and tell me if you've seen any other mistresses with drives that high. gutted the engine compartment and sanded my azz of for days...i sanded most of the texture out of the glass work in the engine compartment and the previous ower blocked the entire boat to remove the woven rovin texture of the original gel coat the re gel coated the entire boat. can't wait to get this puppy in the wawa. let me know what ya think of my progress so far. and anyone know when was the last year they did the mistress with teak everywhere...i mean the floor ceiling, sides trim sinf and ice box every thing inside is teak and in great condition like the rest of the boat. ratman

more hull pics. otice the alum fairing was removed and the previous owner flassed up the new fairing like the later model boats he did a sweet job.
