Re: 1990 Bullet
Exactly, what they said. I had been told by a friend who had a variety of Cigs including that I wouldn't believe the ride. I had an offer on a Scarab at the time and he insisted that I ride in his Bullet first, claiming that it rode about as well as the Cafe except maybe in some extreme conditions. So hooked up with him for a ride and was amazed. At the time wife was suffering from a couple of cracked ribs, so was holding on for dear life at the first wake we crossed. Turns out we didn't even feel it, and you shold have seen the look on her face. So after a brief but great ride on a busy weekend here at LOTO, at the worst part of the lake I was sold. The other thing that impressed me is that they don't require the use of tabs, and come on plane quickly compared to other boats I've been in. If you can find one, don't think you can go wrong.
Good luck. John Sunrise Upholstery. BTW, pics of mine on my website |

The Bullet is a great boat. The only difference in the ride is it can considered to be a wet boat at times(only the pass seat)The last time I checked I never ride in that seat! I have a friend of mine looking to sell his 88. The boat has 540 Bulldogs gaffrig gauages etc. on a trailer. Boat does 75mph and can be had for around $40k. Call him if you are interested
His name is Charlie 203-376-8457 |

4195 that a nice looking boat. For those of you that have Bullets can you post a pic of your boat? I really appreciate the pros and cons. I understand the issue with the delaminated and seperation of the wood, and pretty much anticipate the replacement issue upon purchase of an older boat like that. Does anyone else have any advisement for Bullets? There were 2 Bullets I saw here in the Classifieds. Does anyone know these boats?
Again post those Bullet pics.... http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-5977.html and http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-6270.html |
Re: 1990 Bullet
how does the bullet ride compared to the 30 vice or the other 30 footer they made in early 2000 (can't remember the name)?

Re: 1990 Bullet
The 1990 CIGARETTE Bullet Pro Series is a great looking boat, but... $70K for a 15 year-old boat? :(
I guees I could write off the interest as a house! :p |

Earlier this year I picked up my Bullet out of texas and I love it even though I experience all the challenges Stan indicated what to watch out for; upholstry rot and head issues. My vessel is now having some engine work done and I just can't wait to get it wet again.
Posted is my 1990 Platinium Series Bullet that should be back in the water at month end so I can post more updated pics with some new graphics installed prior to the engine taking a crap-Still love my 31Bullet. BTW,Stan has a nice Bullet for sale and if anyone is interested in a Bullet:put his boat on your shopping list even though if you may not like color or graphics, IMO that he has shored up most of the problems you could and will have for some time. You can spend the money you'll save on major repairs and put towards graphic change or color and plus you can use it for the remaining season. Check out some of stans past post to see how maticulus he is and what he has already updated. |
