Re: Very nice 38' flatdeck
What size props are you turning with 1100hp ?

Re: Very nice 38' flatdeck
AWSOME 38, gota love big power and big drives. Steve

Re: Very nice 38' flatdeck
The props are 17.5x31 lab finished 4 bbl.
The drives are 1.5 ratio #5's. The motors made 1108 hp. with some really mild street roller mechanical Crane cams and 7.5:1 compression ratio. I realize that I probably gave up 150-200 hp. by not having more radical cams and a higher comp. ratio, but I wanted to stay on the safe side as I normally run 92 octane fuel and switch to half 92 with 110 race gas when I want to switch blower pulleys to run more boost. Nice Cig! A proven"wave crusher" built in the days when races were run in the Ocean no matter what the conditions were and no one took any prisoners! Super!

Re: Very nice 38' flatdeck
I am sure that boat was leaving Key West next to me in the Nov 03 Poker Run. Love that paint job, it sounded great, and was not next to me for long. <gg>

Re: Very nice 38' flatdeck
Thats the one. I went to that poker run probably 4-5 times and always had a great time (except the year it rained like hell).
Thanks for the nice comment. See you @ LOTO this year? |

G.K. Not trying to rain on your parade or disrespect your boat in any way, but there have been many very nice flat decks on here through the years and for some reason, they just don't seem to sell.  Maybe it's just older boats that people are afraid of. Good luck with the sale, if you have an abundance of people who show interest, I have an '88 Top Gun that had over $300K (1200 quad rotors, #6 dry sumps, Dave Hunter paint, new interior, new trailer) dumped into it (not by me) that I would sell in a heartbeat for $130K. |
Re: Very nice 38' flatdeck
Post #9 will answer your question as to why the scoops are angled to the port side.
Why are you selling the quad rotor set-up's? Why don't you private message me. G.K. |
