thanks for all the help guys we just got electricity & back on the internet. i'm still getting paid as of right now. we are cleaning up the dealership (we had 6ft of water & several inches of mud) & plan to reopen soon. i'm the shop foreman & lead technician. i'm concerned we won't have enough business to support my pay check. family has to come before fun so to be responsible i'm selling the cig. right now over half the people in my town (slidell) don't halve houses or jobs. slidell is a bedroom community & the majority of residents worked in new orleans. thanks for all the help. right now we are financially ok i just want to be prepared if things don't work out. mike
p.s. 6ft of salt water & mud will really f up a tool box!! |

Re: hurricane katrina forces me to sell the cig
Ease up a little, Joe. No one wants to see Vette lose his Cig. We were just responding to Clay's questions about the boat. I can understand where Vette is at right now (somewhat). I lost my job due to totally different circumstances 10 years ago. I liquidated EVERYTHING except essentials. Harley, new truck, wife's new Maxima, Mod-VP STV and many more things - all gone. The only thing we had was a house note. It takes a lot of pressure off if you aren't having to worry about paying notes on toys each month. It's ultimately Vette's choice but I would be glad to help either way. If he still wants to sell her or if he decides to try and keep her. Let us know Vette. Our prayers are with you.

Re: hurricane katrina forces me to sell the cig
Mike,
If you are interested in making a move out to the left coast, I can set you up with interviews at several dealerships-Good techs are 'GOLD' out here also. If interested, I am in the Northern California area, but also have many connections in the Bay Area -From Fresno up to way past Sacramento California. I am involved with the european lines but many colleagues have Ford operations. P.M. if interested and I can line up some interviews. God bless you and your family Gociggie31 |
Re: hurricane katrina forces me to sell the cig
WOAH! I didn't mean to cause such an uproar. I'm not some scumbag looking to take advantage of someone down on his luck. I'm just boat shopping!
I'm currently looking for another truck. I'm gonna trade in my 2004 Chevy 1/2 ton for a 2005 Chevy 3/4 ton. After that I'm gonna get serious! |
