2000 straight hull with ext covergirl and Bravo xz drives running 725 hp n/a motors and the best Ive seen is 78.6 running 26 bravos. I saw 71 mph all day everyday when I had my 500 bulldogs

Im thinking I could see a little more speed with my current setup, but Top end isnt my priority anymore

You might have a bit of a hard time with shorty's on a Tiger, I think they are not crazy about hi x-dim.

You'll need to turn 28"'s is my guess, also what is your red-line...

All the straight bottom 42's I know that have tried 5 blades could not rev up, cause of too much stern lift and burring the nose... Ottis experienced that, ask him.

As for boxes what I have heard is that whatever the brand straight bottom Tiger do not like them unless you would have monster power that would then requires 6's and run passed the porpoising.

I am just relating the experience I have seen or others with the same boat as mine have experienced...

I don't want to "p!ss in your Corn Flakes" pardon the expression but I would rather tell you what I have experienced instead of you paying to learn the same things with your money. Again this is only my humble opinion.

Unleashed, how far are you turning up those 30's? Also, do you have a Cover Girl or Extended Cover Girl cabin? That speed is OUTSTANDING. I've got an 01 TS with 575's and I'm running 81 or so in fresh water.

Thanks..

Sounds a bit low. You might want to lighten that "ice chest" and take a piss! :drink:

You got that right. The ice chest will just have to go. We can get a beer when we get there! But the speed I mentioned was with a couple of ice chest, 4 people and half a tank of fuel. So, we may not be that far off. Also, I have the extended cover girl and full head with holding tank. So there's some additional weight there as well. We'll see though. Gotta get past these hurricanes so we can put the boats back in the water.

Tried 4 Blade 32"s Bravo1 non labbed yesterday and got 82.2 mph with Chris/cowisl and Niel/DryPipeTiger also on board. We were only turning 5000 rpm.

I have smaller pulleys for my blowers that should bring me to 6# of boost and change but we did not have the time to try them yesterday.

More data for you straight bottom Tiger dudes...
