It's a great flag job, but I know someone who had one set up just like that, bought it new, couldn't keep it running, sold it a went with a TS with bulldogs. He had all the money to keep it running, but it couldn't be done on a dependable basis.
If you get the chance, always go witht he TS, and a little less power (750hp range would be optimum, in my opinion)

Went out with GLH today in 4 to 5+ footers. His boat ran incredible in that big stuff. Completely stable and secure.... From what I understand those extra 7 or so miles an hour you gain with a stepp hull can be a bit like riding on marbles. I'd rather have the straight hull with big power. 900's and # 6's in a straight hull Tiger is incredible package and safe to boot. Just my .02. Don't knock it till you try it.
