Key West poker run

Who is going in their cig, and what days are you going.

Taking the cig to Spinnaker first of Nov, then doing the key west poker run, and some misc stuff over the winter.

We'll be there. Going in my buddies Tiger. He's shipping it late Oct. to Spinnaker. Flying in Wed. and going to run the boat over to the hotel the run leaves from on Thursday.Looks like there'll be a large Cig turn out for the Thurs run. Look for us. Here's a pic of the boat.

Hey Wild, we're going to do the same thing you're planning. We'll have to keep in touch.

You guys talk Phil into taking the 45 to KW yet??

Hey guys
My boat is at tnt for some major surgery, hopefully it will be done by then.
If we go it will be on Thursday. Its just amazing how not maintaining your motors takes its toll. But I look at the bright side of it , now they both will be new again, and will be taken care of the way they should be.

We hope to go, but at this rate, the motors are back at Mercury and the 46 is gutted at the factory. With the way things move at Cig, I doubt we will be there. We were going to go down and sea trial the boat at that poker run, but now we just might take it out for a day or two before it comes home. Maybe next year..

Yes they are 525 efi's. 2003 with 195 hrs. I have put 38 hrs on the boat since I bought it. I guess I just have been unlucky.
I'm sure my luck will change as soon as I get my boat back with the new engines. As far as the former owner goes, my mother always taught me......If you have nothing nice to say about someone.......Say nothing ! The proof is in the pudding.

LS- Sounds like things were worse than when we talked last. Taking care of both motors is a painfull thing ($$) to do, but at least you know what you have when you are done.

38 hours of use and you have to have major repairs/replacement of 2 drives and 2 motors.......I'd pretty much say that there was a serious lack of maintenance before you bought the boat. It is funny how some people can afford the boat, but can't afford to do the proper maintenance.

I hope your luck changes and you get to enjoy the ride.

Forget serious lack of maintenance, how do you kill low hour 525,s?

Yeah, LS sure got the schitt end of the deal on that transaction......... Worst part is that the LS family are probably the nicest people o this forum! On the bright side, they will have a brand new boat when its all said and done.

The one motor is still good but I figure it will be cheaper to rebuild it before it also takes a dump.

At first, I was disapppointed Gary took LS's money instead of mine, but now I'm feeling kinda lucky. None the less, I'd never wish those problems on anyone.

LS- Smart move rebuilding the other. IMO, you still have one of the coolest rides out there. Brett is right......throw some blowers on that bad boy and you'll have a triple digit T/S.

Brett- I'd love to have your Gladiator, but I can't convince the wife yet. I thought I had her talked into one, but she still wants a Tiger. She said that she and her friends won't have a place to change suits if we buy a Gladiator. I told her that she and her friends are more than welcome to use the cockpit as a changing room and I promise not to peek! I don't see any promblems with that arrangement! :p

I will give the full family discount to anyone who buys a car from Mercedeshowroom. I can also get you any used car at wholesale.

Ya by the time I'm done I could have bought a 2004 TG

But then again it would not have been an F2 boat.........

LS, sorry to hear about your motor issues.
we purchased a cig this past spring with warrantied rebuilt motors.
we had trouble since day one. then one finally blew last july.
the best thing is, that nobody on the warranty end is helping us out.SO MUCH FOR WARRANTIES
we are repowering with 2 new motors and upgraded drives.
should be done in a few weeks, but to late for key west.
we will bring the cig down in january
