pm203,the bottom on the 38 GT has been tweeked as BillR stated. I know this to be factual as I know who was responsible for the subtle changes.

That may be correct,but there is a big difference between all-new and tweaked.Tweaked means they still are using the TG bottom.What exactly did they tweak and why? I would like to know.

Paul, The "all new" refers to the redesigned cockpit/deck of the boat. The interior room has changed with the new-style dash/companion dash. The bottom has been tweeked to pick up mph.The bottom is still the same with the exception of the minor changes to the steps.The boat I have ran 86gps.That's out of the box. It was at the Lauderdale show. Happy Holiday's to you and yours as well!

yes inquiring minds wanna know... and can we tweak our boats bottoms/steps?

At 86 out of the box, why bother?,My buddy,s 04 38 Topgun w/525,s does 90,and most 525 boats do 86-87 anyhow.

pm203, our 39'Unlimited w/525's ran 89 before it left to go out East.We ran the boat this past summer in several poker runs and it always ran 87-88. At the last show, in water in Michigan it was running 87+ in 2-3's on the limiters....spinning 32's.The day it left it was running right @89. Your buddies runs good!!!

Neil supervised the production of the boat personally, and paid special attention to the weight of the boat while the hull was being constructed. It is also a half-cabin boat and is dialed in correctly .By the way,that 90 figure is on freshwater!

GT stands for Great Tits only. (not talking about Skip's either)
