Thinking about moving up to a 42 and wanted to know when did the 42 staggered came out? Is that the 42x? How fast is it with 500efi and how much faster is it compared to the side by side configuration? I am interested in the extended cover girl cabin. One more thing... was a kevlar hull available?

The 42X is a staggered setup up with twins and also available with triples. I have one with twin 1075s. Different bottom and deck then the 42 Tiger. Bottom has two large steps with a small third relief step. Cant give you any specifics on speed with your desired power but with my set up running props for top end we have seen 116mph. No fluff!! Hope that helps. By the way mine is in the classified and on Pier 57's site.

You're not going to find one with 500's unless you buy one without power and do it yourself. The 42-X was primarily designed for big power and big drives.
