lower cg and drives are closer/deeper in the water since the engines are lower.
gives better balance.

a big block chevy is a big block chevy... the size varies very little with the same headers..(except height with blown engines..)

the stagger allows you to bring the motors closer to the center of the boat in all directions....(and lower in the boat)
also allows the props to be closer.... a full stagger boat will almost have the props touching each other.
