Post 33 Cafe Open pics

Just finished a restoration on my '99 Cafe Open over the last year. New fuel tank, Bottom paint removed, entire boat painted by Dave Hunter, new cockpit interior, new cabin interior, radar arch and leaning post stripped and powdercoated, new 300 V-8 Mercs, new trailer, new GPS. The new engines make it a completely different boat!!. I also replaced every piece of stainless hardware and those rubber caps on the toggle switches. Have put 35 hours on her... and enjoyed every minute. We kept the paint scheme the same due to the heritage, but changed up the colors to make it a little more vibrant. I love it!

DUDE!!! That came out bad azz! Lets see the interior and dash upgrades. Cool you kept the OG paint. It is actually a pretty timeless paint job. Not too loud or to 'era specific'. I always liked it.
Glad you ended up keeping it. Daughter sold theirs through PBC.

Long story,,, but I'll give you the short version. It's not the Cafe Racer mold used for the 12 that were built. It is the mold for the 33 Ocean Hawk, which was derived from a Midnight Express. The owner of Ocean Hawk had to go away for 5 years. Cigarette "stored" the molds for him while he was away with the understanding that they could pop some boats from it. Ocean Hawk and Cigarette had worked together before this with rigging, etc. That's why you see so many Ocean Hawks with Cigarette logos on them. The HIN tells the truth... the 12 actually have a CRT HIN
