Default Cafe A/C

We are considering installing A/C in our Cafe... Does anyone have any picture of where they mounted the vents and where they mounted the unit itself? How many BTU's is the unit? Did you do it yourself, already installed, or hire someone to do it? We have a 12K BTU (cool & heat) Marine Air unit already and thinking about putting that in. Any tips?

Thanks

I would think that a 12K unit would be too much. While it would freeze your butt off, it wouldn't run long enough to properly dehumidify the air.

But, seeing that you live in Vegas, you don't have to worry about humidity!

Just my two-cents...

I do not have A/C in my Bullet (yet), but I have done alot of research. It is basically two major projects...

Choosing and installing the Air Conditioning Unit

Choosing and installing the AC power to run it.

I have an A/C thread in the General Boating Discussion forum, and I am waiting for pics...

What are you planning to use for power? You might want to look at the Westerbeke 3.0

Vents in my cafe. The one on the right in the cold air return. The one on the left is an exhaust.
