Awakening of the Horses VI
 

I would like to invite Cigarette owners to Lake Cumberland on the weekend of May 18th thru the 21st.

The Midwest Donzi Club is holding our annual Awakening of the Horses gathering at the Jamestown Resort in Jamestown, KY. This year in addition to a Donzi gathering, we are honoring the late great Don Aronow and the boat companies he formed.

we keep our cig at cumberland,. were tryin to out by then, if lucky we might be testing, lake tuning, dialing in maybe by then. ill be lookin fer yall :D

375, Hope to see ya also. If ya get bored, stop on by the Jamestown Resort and meet our attendees. Saturday night we hold a Texas BBQ for $20 cooked by TX experts and then an auction of what-ever the attendees bring with them to donate. You never know, might be some neet Cig. memorbilia up for auction since I'm pretty sure 2 20' Cigs. will be in attendance.

awesome, i fergot to mention we also keep the cig at jamestown marina, so if we dont got cig runnin we might have the checkmate down :D thanks for the invite

RWS - Unfortunately, the Jamestown resort does not allow group gatherings after the Memorial Day holiday. With the Spring rains, I've always tried to keep the dates as close to Memorial Day as possible to help keep us away from trash floating on the lake. The first year in 2000, the gathering happened on Mother's Day weekend which for some obvious reasons created a few problems for some who wanted to attend. Ever since, the gathering has been held the weekend before Memorial Day.

Not sure, but this policy may be part of the reason the Lake Cumberland Poker Run has moved across the inlet to the State Dock because Jamestown will also not allow group gatherings until after the Labor Day holiday. Maybe that had nothing to do with the change. Really don't know.

Update as were only 2 weeks away from the gathering. The Boater's Life website staff will be in attendance to do a story on our gathering. They'll be taking pictures and shooting video. If your planning to attend, be ready to show off your boats and give a description of what your running.
