Can 525's be dropped in place of 575's in a late model top gun? How many hours can you expect out of 575's before a major? Any details would help. Thanks

It is easy to replace your 575's with 525's in a newer model gun. I purchased a pair of 525 EFI's (BAD A#@) from Margin man that I installed in a non stepped 1994 TOPGUN. I picked up 15 miles an hour from the previouse 502's. This past weekend I was in a poker run the Humidity and Temps were in the upper 90's. I had 8 people in the boat 6 coolers,the fuel tanks, water tank. poop tank were full All the clothes for staying the weekend and the slowest the boat ran was 72 on GPS. I have seen speeds of 76.2 but I was on the rev limiter with labbed 28's.

was just browsing the page and noticed your question. my borther as a 2004 38 top gun w/ 525's. he gets top speed on gps of 92, cruises around 70's. just some added info for you.
