i would love to do something like that...if this one was to work out...id be more then happy to try and organize something more central...but for my first one i have to stay in my home town where i can easily get information in person...

Anytime after Jan 15th works for me... We have Jan. meetings w/ Tax Accts, finalizing #'s for quarterly commissions (that are paid on Jan. 15th) and IRS reporting/pmts. to wind up for Q4, etc....

I would imagine there's several other folks looking at similar things at that time of the month/year.

If Jan. is the month everyone prefers, then I'd make a push for the weekend of Jan. 20th or 27th. Otherwise, Feb. works well too.

Entry fee or not --- either way. No preference here. I would suggest a small collection for a photographer to take photos so that we will get in the magazines - but, no worries if it doesn't happen. It'll be fun, either way!

Mike. I have organized a few good sized events. If you want to have fun and enjoy the weekend, just pick a date and starting spot, let everyone make there own reservations for hotel and docking. and lets just have some fun. No pics, no prizes, no giveaways. We have Stu and the crew to provided us with all that good stuff. Lets just run and have some fun. Put the boats away for the night at Holiday Isle and get down to some partying. We could all raft up the next day out on the sandbar, and then on Sunday head back to Shooters for "the" contest.

Ill help you plan it if needed.

Sounds like my Clevelander party!! How about having the run the weekend before the boat show???????? I wouldn't mind bringing my boat down for that.

That sound like a great idea...who's up for that ? Who has the exact date ( weekend of the Miami boat show) .. I think that would be great the weekend before the boat show ( it doesn't interfere with stu's run).....I would be more than happy to take care of the reservations...as a matter of fact i'm going this weekend to my house in the Keys and i'm planing to get 411 from the tikki bar...so let's hear it who's up for the weekend before the Miami boat show ?

Now my only concern is that FPB has the exact same run from Miami to the Tikki bar the weekend after the Miami boat show..don't you think that many of you won't want to the same run twice in the matter of 2 weeks apart ?

My vote is Jan 20th. like otis said, pick a starting point, ending, etc. let everyone fend for themselves. Because you cant please everyone.

Jan 20th is good for me. I will already be streched out being down for 11 days for the boat show and Stu's run. I dont think I could make down the week before the show
