when a boat's hull is made correclty and not subjected to damaging conditions. I.e. water left in hull for long periods of time, unsealed holes through the glass, etc. then the hull is as good as day one. Look at fiberglass applications in other high stress environments. That's why oulerlimits can offer a lifetime warranty on their hulls...

I agree a good hull that is taken care of is more important than the age of the hull.
There are plenty of newer boats whose hulls are not as good as some olders.
Its all in the rigging and power. There are plenty of guys w/ new power built improperly and the engines are always being worked on.
I would not hesitate to look at some of these older mint boats.
