Re: Tiger Speed.

With a full cabin as the ad says my guess is in the low to mid 70's...

You might want to budget getting XR's also. Bravo's on this rig need to be respected a lot.

Re: Tiger Speed.

73-74 mph is good as it gets

Re: Tiger Speed.

Thanks Guys thats what I thought. Do they have problems in any other areas?

Re: Tiger Speed.

I had no issues with the boat itself. It will chew up Bravos though. I loved my Tiger !!

GLH 09-26-2006 11:05 AM

Re: Tiger Speed.

You should be able to upgrade to XR's and sell the Bravo's then that package will be a nice rig.

I didn't think they had ever built a Tiger with a full cabin. That is a cool setup.

Wonder if thats the same one I looked at before I bought mine?...I have 600hp and am having some problems getting my speed back, I may have to go to 24's to get the motors into the rpm range that they make power...I agree with everyone else, low to mid 70's....

I got to looking at my current one and did some photoshop to get the 88 off it and I liked the look of it better. Also the guy that owned it was'nt sure he was going to sell. I liked the paint on mine more, this is a nice paint job but for me, it's too much like the others out there, just a variance on the colors. also wasnt real keen on blower motors and Bravo 1's...
not bashing the boat by any means, just why I bought a different one:)

Re: Tiger Speed.

you all are correct, mine be straight and being ex UPS, wasnt a fan of Dale jarrett, and the 88 had no significance for me. I actually think it made the boat look shorter...I will be on the South River this weekend, where is everyone going to be?

you really cant go wrong with a straight hull, Scott. they will not be the fastest boat out there, but you will have a great ride when it gets rough. Never know, if i move up to 700 and NXT's there may be a set of Xr's for sale :D Heading to the races in Cambridge, I hit somme real rough, broke one of my cabin doors clean off. But I was still having fun, wouldnt have gotten as wet as I did but it was myself and my 10 year old daughter, and I didnt want to scare her silly.

Rob,

I'm in the same situation you are... I went out today and hit 79MPH GPS at 5000rpms with 28's.
My peak horse is just over 700 at 5600rpms. I think 26's or mabye even 24's will get my rpms closer to that 5600 and should make a difference.

if I was a scotch drinker I would..let me know how they run. I'm working with Brett and it should be right for next year, just blows me away that we have to decrease so much to get speed back. you still have 1.5's right?

Yes, 1.5's. It blows me away too. After the rebuilds I tried GL's 30 labbed thinking they'd be what I need. It's unreal.
