It is a good idea to do the valves on these motors at 50 hrs. I don't neccessarliy know if they need to be rebuilt at 100 hrs though. The motors in the Crayola Tiger are stock Merc 900's. The motors in Tims old Tiger are totally rebuilt (by Teague) 1000's. Here's a couple of pics of Tims old Tiger.
However, the Crayola boat just had 45k worth of work on the engines by Joe Bacca at Precision Marine (works on the Mrs. Sonice Outterlimits). Also, (not that I mind the paint scheme) the boat looks 100 times better sitting in the water. Totally different boat when it's wet.
Cignificant.....check your PM.
Anyone seriously interested in either of these boats...PM or call me. I just got off the phone with the owner and I have personal knowledge of the history of both these Tigers. They are both great boats with out issues and can be had at right prices.

I can't believe you can insure a 900+HP boat for under 3k. My 01 Donzi with 600's costs me about 4200/yr. I HATE BEING YOUNG!!! That is one of the main reasons I'm afraid to step up to the crayola boat. I have bid on it several times on Ebay, but I don't think I can insure it
