I just sold my 38 Powerquest and Im thinking about a Top Gun or Cafe racer. I boat in Lake Mi and its rough most all the time, and the cig guys love rough water, so give me the info on Cigs. I like em but dont know that much about them.

I've owned 2 PQ's and now have a TG TS.
DO IT! You will not regret it.
The ride is very solid. No rattles, creak or groans - no matter what the what conditions are. You will actually yearn for rough water as the ride is SO good that smooth water / 1'-2' chop is kinda boring.
The boat handles predictably and your confidence level will improve 100%.
When (if) it comes to re-sale - you'll have a brand name boat that holds it's value and will be easy to sell.
The motors are a joy to work on vs. the engine box you had. You can climb right on in!
Before I bought the TG, I test drove and rode as many boats as I possible could. The TG's ride was by FAR superior. (I didn't ride any Nor-Tech or Outerlimits or similar)
PM me any specifics.
Best decision I've made.

Powerquest 380, Shogren Performance in Chicago is having a Top Gun re-engined at Wes Co Engines in Jenison right now. It's got SSM #3 drives, good transmissions (BAM I think) and will have really nice blower motors with warranty. You might want to call Scott Shogren to see if you can view the boat. Looking is free and it's close to you. I think the boat is listed on their website too.
I think Boatme has a Top Gun for sale too. He's in Spring Lake I think.
Have you ever thought about a 38 Flat-Deck?
