Cig fire restoration project
Just my 2 cents but who will make the first offer to buy the boat when it is done someday in the future. It's past is not hidden and the usual outcome of a total loss of anything with a motor in it is that the bottom feeders are lookin for a bargin. The exception can be an antique that is irreplacable like a Duisenberg. Older Top Guns without "history" are plentiful and reasonable. The project is a work of love and art in progress and of the most value to the restorer. The experience of doing a project like this with your son at your side is invaluable but probably not a great business venture. The labor value may never be recaptured. That may never matter though, in the end. It is sure fun to watch the progress of the project and I envy and appreciate the talent it takes to "git r done" !!!! After all is said and done, a lot more is usually said than done. This is the exception to that rule. Amazing ambition, hats off to you.

I have to say I have done a few projects of my own and it is inspiring to read this particular forum for the first time and see the vision when many of the responses were negative and tyring to rain hard on you dream.
