Re: Revolutions
haha that one ugly revo, kermit?
hey bshzba, any details on that hatch rebuild? thats a lot of lost weight, and we could sure use less weight in the rear of the revo :D |
Re: Revolutions
Someone rebuilt it at one time and used 3/4 plywood and a ton of glass. I cut the flat part off and just rebuilt it. I used 1/2 balsa with strips of 3/8 balsa in a checker board pattern. 17oz on top and bottom and one layer of 10oz on bottom. I'm doing a new int. and getting rid of the top part of the rear bolster witch weighs 65lbs.

This is one of the coolest boats I've ever seen, and I am NOT a fan of flag graphics at all. I think this lady said she and her husband were looking for a Rev, that he was out of the country, and she saw it on ebay. Called him, and he told her to bid on it. I believe they had all the work done to it. Trip 500's if I'm not mistaken.

ITLLFLI, we put it in last weekend and the weekend before with little luck, after not being able to keep it idling at all, then it missing while tryin to get on plane we were pretty disappointed. We just got back from running it this morning though, and it ran great. Got it up to 60 around 3500rpms. We still need to work some bugs out but its idling great and everything. We should finally be able to run the PR this year!
