I sold the boat to the Hatchers and took their 38 Formula in on trade. I think their were issues with somebody driving the boat over agressive?

Lets face it, none of these boats have good resale.
2005 Topguns were not 400K, unless you had OL build it.
Seriously though, a new 04 Gun was approx 325K. A nice one will bring up to 280K today. That is not bad considering how fast these things depreciate. I firmly believe that the TopGun has to hold the award for best resale (for a performance boat).

pm203, Do you seriously think you can sell an 04 Top Gun for 280k? Thats not what i'm seeing...

The only boats that have a prayer of bringing close to 300k used have to have #6's and big power, IMO

We seriously need to have a discussion w/ all of the OL owners and have them become more active in their section... Tazz needs more of his own kind to play with, obviously!

Oh, wait.... they're all working too hard, trying to pay off their overpriced Fountains! EEK.....hahahahaha.....

There you go, Tazz ----- have fun w/ this one!

If anyone is expecting their boat to have high resale or to be an investment, they got into the wrong sport. There is no such thing in boating unless you have some very rare boat that multi trillianaires want. Buy the boat because you like it. Sell it for whatever reason you have and hope you get the best price. End of story.

Tazz,
My buddy recently turned down $280K for his 525 04 Gun .Granted, it was one of the nicest ones available, but an average one is still worth north of $255K. Another friend bought a 02 Gun new for $245K. That boat is still worth north of $200K (after 5 seasons of use)! Boat resale values do $uck, however, nothing compares to the Topgun as far as resale value. Now, please call the OL factory and see what they have in the oven.

Dreamer, you see the light...I guess ALL Cig owners aren't fogged.

pm203, your buddy should have taken the money, and your other buddy paid too much.

Joe, sweet boat you have there, but i'd probably be a little touchy too if i paid what you did for a boat with XR's

Seriously guys, I like all these boats, I'm just having a little fun here.
