The boat is not perfect, I'm not claiming to have ever restored it. Just have maintained and done some updating to it. We purchased the boat out of Canada in late 02' and have had ALOT of fun with it here in Okahoma since.
Wife AND MYSELF are wanting to purchase a Top Gun in late summer or early fall of 07'. We figure sell the 28 in early spring to catch the market at it's best. We have a small formula Daycruiser to run with next summer should the 28 sell.
74' model, 383 stokers with approx 450 hrs., MSD, 7 qt. oil pans, holley 750's...I think
,stern powr MX-07 drives with internal hydro - steering (drives had new bearing and seals installed in mid 05') New interior in 03'. New dash wiring and gauges in 03'.
Paint shines very well but does have a nick or two. Had a gas oder in the cabin so we drained the front tank in 02' and have never filled it since. One trim gauge does not work. One water pressure gauge does not work - never has since installed. Wood structure (part that hold custions, storage etc)in cabin is weak (Delaminated) - I believe from age because of no visual water damage. Never pursued repair because we just use it for jackets and such.
It is a VERY fun boat, we concidered keep it around for our son to have but he is only seven right now so we would have to maintain, store, restore, etc... for the next 9 years to make that happen...not real feasable for us.
Pic 1 taken in 05'
Pic 2 and 3 was in 04'
Sorry not more resent but we lost alot of pics with a computer crash.
