Cigarette 24
 Anyone on here ever do a rework or a makeover on the 1970's 24 footer that had the teak inlaid decks? I am getting ready to do a complete makeover and am looking for any and all ideas. I am planning on eliminating the teak and going with a smooth and clean profile deck and engine hatch. Thanks....Rob

Re: Cigarette 24
That's to bad. That is what made that boat really unique. A little sanding and some polyuethane go a long way. My families first boat was a 24' with the teak decks.

My favorite 24 was the one built in the early 80's with the smooth deck. Both boats had the same hull. With the complete refit and repower (single screw) I am undertaking, I figure it's worth the efforts. Just my personal taste, that's all.

Re: Cigarette 24
This might be a stupid question, but I'm learning all the time about the old cigs...what are the major differences of that cig 24 to the Firefox a few yrs later?

Re: Cigarette 24
The Firefox has a 7 ft 4-1/2" beam and is 24 ft 3-1/2" long. The 24 built aprox. 1971-76 and early 1980's is 23 ft. 11" and has a beam of 7 ft 10".
