That's right....Kevin Schulte's 94 Cafe with EFI500's/Bravos ran 72/73. He should see a bit more out of it since its a gun.

I would definately say a Lip-Ship boat is more than dress (though just the "dress" makes them worth it). He follows the boat from begining to end and goes over every detail. Then he some how always manages to squeek a bit more MPH out of it, and they're usually faster than a factory direct boat. So yea, I guess you can say it's more than just cosmetic.

I know! I don't even have a Lip-Ship edition Cig. I didn't use it for a few months when we first got it and he kept calling, "did you use it yet? Well, go f*ckin' run it!!"

We didn't buy our Lip-Ship Cig from Phil either but EVERYTIME I talk to him he wants to know how the F2 is. He's actually suprised we've had it this long being a car dealer....usually can't hold on to anything too long

Thanks for the info. But just so I am clear, there is still no way a 98 Lipship is running anything close to 84mph on Bulldog 500s and Bravo drives?

What would you guys think the above described would be worth in good condition? In other words, what would be a fair purchase price? Thanks.

Regards, Mark

TG with HP500's or BullDog 500's or any 500's.... and- NO STEP.... 70-72MPH. In perfect conditions. If you want speed...you'll want to look at a TS version. Much faster with the same power.

To run 84MPH you'll need over 750HP in a non stepped hull.

I think you can get 84 out of a non step (kevlar) with less than 750 but you're going to have to look at X deminsion and props pretty hard.

I'm going to run 680hp this year and going to play with some drive heights and props (herring) to see where we can get on a daily basis. We also removed the mufflers and went with downturns. With 650, conservative X and the props in and full time mufflers we saw 81 more than once with a mid weight load and summer conditions.

WIth he props out and a full load (full fuel, 4 people and 90+ temps) we got at least 77+ every day. So with 750 and the right set up I think you could get to the upper 80's and maybe even touch 90. We'll see.

Dennis B seems to have his set up pretty well and I think he's running in the 750ish range and near 90. At the shootout a couple years ago I know he was into the 90's but I don't know what kind of HP he had at that time.

But the answer to your original question. 84 with 500's in a full cabin boat. No Way.
