CasinoRunner,
No. I work for Audi, but as far as I know, the new S class is selling well.

Just lease returned an 04 A8L and they are super soft here in FL. MSRP new was 78K, lease buyout was 52K and with 48K on the ODO dealer thought it was worth 30K. Awesome car for us but I was glad I was just leasing with resale like that. I think the VW Phaeton dragged down the market for them since they are built with the same parts.

My Uncle bought a new S550 in December from MB Palm Beach for 5% off sticker so they will discount the new S.

You are smart to lease. I see so many Benz, BMW, Audi values that have dropped significantly. There isn't a manufacturer that is insulated against such heavy depreciation.

I wish you could lease boats! I like to know my cost to drive before leaving the lot!

There is a boat dealer in Boston ( Russo Marine)that will lease you a boat. He sells small boats to large cruisers and writes his own paper!

The CLS is indeed soft but the S550 are selling very well. Every S550 we have had sold in just a few days.

A two year old A8 is the best bang for the buck of any luxury car out there IMO.
