seahawk 05-18-2007 11:40 AM

Wow looks great! How much $$ is all that going to cost?

JeffC 05-18-2007 01:42 PM

I am going to have about 15 or 16 thousand in restor....

Queenie 05-18-2007 02:31 PM

Very, very, very impressive Jeff!

We restored our boat the last 4 years, giving her a new paint scheme a few years back.

It's a lot of work...A LOT!!!! However, it's all worth it when you see people stare, actually stare at your boat and then want to take pictures of it when you pull into a dock! Great feeling.

We will never get out of our boat what we put into it. We did all the work ourselves (hubby's past included body work/paint) but we knew going into it that this is the case.

We took an '88 and made her look 15+ years newer! No regrets (even with the countles months put into her) in the restoration process.

Great job Jeff. We've been watching your progress. Look forward to seeing her finished. The dash is awesome looking!

carter38 05-18-2007 02:48 PM

That thing is just sick!

Umm, there is now way in helllllllllllllll that you did all that under $16K. This is not a shot by any means, but seriously, no way that cheap. You've done a phenomenal job, but it takes a few more fun tickets than that to get to where you will be when this is done.

As an aside, wasn't this Lucky Strike's Uncle's old Cafe?

I don't think it is. My uncle sold it to a friend of his in NJ. Unless, Jeff bought it from his friend??

That is great work Jeff! I can't wait to see it all done.

My favorite up grade was the trim indicator....It was tricky getting it to work..The bottom of the indicator had to fit between the electrical panel in the head and the dash piece wall..But it turned out awsome....

JeffC 05-22-2007 10:21 PM

Hey guys, Put the boat in the water today and with some cable adjustments everything went great. The boat looks awsome in the water..I took alot of pics..my buddy is e-mailing them to me tonight and then i will post them....

I would like to coment on the expense of the restore...Me and three other guys did all the work on this boat. The only work that was done on this boat other than my shop was the fiberglass guy. I felt that the glass work was alittle to much for me to handle..All of the rest of the work was done by me and my buddies...

The glass work was 2000.00
Paint supplies where 2300.00
The painter that assited me..2800.00
The interior cost me 3200.00
Gages and shifters and new hardware 3000.00
Heads up indicator 1150.00
stearing wheel 650.00
Logo on hatch 975.00
Motor work was 800.00
Miscellaneous 1000.00

There was a ton of labor and hours that cost 0

I really appreciate all of the compliments from the Thread. You all had a really lot of good things to say and i appreciate it.

29scarab 05-23-2007 06:26 AM

Way t go Jeff....

Can't wait to see the pics...and its always great to have true buds helping you out with a project!
