So i dicided to put in new motors and redo the engine compartment. The new motors are 582s that dynod at 630 hp and 671 torque. People tell me that i could have gotten a lot more power out of the motor but i am happy with mild 582s. I am also building a new aluminum trailer for my boat. I couldn,t afford a nice Myco so i decided to build my own. I will have about 7 or 8 thousand in it when i am done..I will post some pics of the engine compartment when i am done...

Did you have a chance to finish the engine compartment?

With that size HP and torque what kind of speed are you getting and what kind of drives are you using? Putting 572's in my cafe with almost exact HP and torque. Using Konrad drives.

I have 582s in the boat. I need to put another set of heads and headers on the motors. I would get alot more hp with these big motors. It is running about 74. I lost a drive in key west. I am looking to replace mine with XRs.

Jeff,
great job on your Cafe, i have seen a few nice one's redone on LOTO but not the caliber of yours. I am with you because i can't afford to buy a brand new Cig so i will be buying used when the time is right. Another benefit is the personal property tax on an 89 is alot easier on the wallet then a 2009!
