Solely responsible for keeping Cigs re-sale up!

Ummmmmm, yea.........

Nice boat...well cared for. I've seen it in person but DAM that's a lot of coin.

otis311 03-16-2007 06:16 AM

I was thinking the sme thing. I personally never liked that boat myself. I dont think it sold for that new.

Maybe $399k to $425k would be realistic....maybe

offshoredrillin 03-16-2007 06:29 AM

have you guys noticed that all the theme boats are up for sale at the same time, this one, rum runner, spiderman boat and one of the Am muscle boats is too.

It's not one of my favs either, and their is already a stealth RR here on the bay.

Which Muscle boat?

Jupiter Sunsation 03-16-2007 06:40 AM

Atleast the guy had the stones to put a price to save a few people the time and phone call to ask. Surprised he didn't want SSN, financial statement, mothers maiden name and a 250K cashier's check to preview the vessel like some other boats listed. :drink:

Boat is ok, not much of a stealth/ plane design kind of guy myself.

I put that up becuase none of them are listed and for sale. Like a lot of people's boats (including Rob's) they can be bought for the right price. American Muscle I can be bought for the right price, and it's a lot less than $650k!!!

The one on the Bay was the first, and the Miami Boat Show boat. I think it was somewhere around $1-1.2M new; if memory serves correctly.

wespin 03-16-2007 01:07 PM

It is a "free market". The sellers get to chose the price to sell at and the buyers get to negotiate from there or go to the next one.
Sellers seem to always think that the offering price is too low; buyers think the price is too high!
What a grand scheme.

It's like seeing a fat/ugly stripper. I don't blame the girl/seller, I blame the person that told them doing it was a good idea.......

The only problem with boats like this (other than I could never afford one!) is kind of like high end, high profile street rods. Because it is so wild and unique and has made the rounds everyone will always say, "Hey looks like you bought So And So's boat". So you have to change stuff to make it your own. Easier to do on a street rod than a boat like this. What could you do to it other than a complete re-paint and it seems like that would be ashame. Of course if someone wants to give me the boat I could live with it! :D :D :D

Absolutely! Problem is , usually, you see the fat/ugly stripper sitting on her azz for a loooonnnggg time. Same idea.

They say an azz for every seat....well.....the one made for that is gonna have a bruise from the wallet it will take with that asking price.

We have a friend who bought a TG from Philly and it's listed on his site as sold too. Does that mean it's for sale now? No....

What I'm saying is none of the American Muscle boats are for sale NOW. Sure, they've been for sale at one point or another but not this minute.

Whatever dude , All i mentioned was I had seen it for sale and you jumped on me in the 3rd and 5th post. As i said I just happened to notice it and didnt pay attention to the details, but I knew I wasnt seeing things. Wether it is for sale "NOW" wasnt my issue or the fact that it stays on someones site. You're right though, arguing with a kid is a waste of time.

Right clicking and saving photos and having a complete photo scrapbook of boatpics although nice isnt really that impressive, niether is reiterating what is overheard in conversations, that merely amounts to gossip.. mission accomplished :evilb:

What impresses me is facts, which you have none. Just admit you're wrong and we can get on with our lives. You said one of the three American Muscle boats are for sale NOW (which one you didn't know) along with Spiderman RR, RumRunner etc and none of them are.

drypipetiger 03-17-2007 01:07 PM

That Stealth paint is fugly as sin and the boat is very overpriced...

While wer're on the $$$ subject, will F2 boats bring the kind of money their asking for some of them?

nope, it was listed, I saw it listed, (it's still listed) as I proved, didnt pay that much attention to it, but you are/were trying to play tough. I didnt know which one I had seen, but as usual in your brash way of trying to prove to everyone that you are the "know it all of cigs" you're wrong...

is Rum runner for sale?...yes
is stealth for sale? yes
ia spiderman for sale? yes

Speaking of Joe and "for sale", it seems that a certain killer 39 is for sale on Boat trader.

Dude you better drop it with Jr.; he's definitely got you. Plus, I think he has forgotten more about boats than most of us will ever know.

I own the Muscle Boat you're talking about; American Muscle #1. It is NOT for sale....unless you are offering to give me 650k then I might consider.

For everyone else....Maybe I'm a little biased here, but considering folks are asking 500-600 for used 42's, that price is not out of the ball park for a 46. Better yet, try buying a new RR, they ain't cheap. For that matter, try buying a new 42 with good power, again they ain't cheap. The Muscle series was definitely not cheap. See Sept. 2004 issue of PB mag. My boat is on the cover and there is a 4 page spread on it. You can get all the details there.

Also, the Muscle series is not a theme boat. Spiderman, yes. Batman (although not in our discussion here) yes. Muscle boats, NO. The Muscle series is a specialized RR. Higher dash and a few more amenitites. My boat, AM1 was the first boat to introduce Mercury Racing's 1075s.

Mine was for sale for a short period of time last year due to my frustration with the dealer and I was about to get out of boating because of it. Instead, I sued the ba$tards. The scam/sham dealer (who is no longer a Cig dealer) sold me the boat with, as the contract read new engines. Not freshened, NEW. After getting the boat, they had 132 hrs and needed rebuilt. Anyway, can't talk too much because the scam/sham dealer is going to be in court within the next couple of months answering some serious questions. Thanks for Mercury's fine staff and their refresh program, these engines are basically brand spanking and ready to roll in 07 and my frustration is over.

Ron
