Why Cant I sell My Top Gun???

I have an absolutely beautiful 2000 38 Top Gun TS. It’s extremely clean as described in my ad. I have had some interest but no real serious inquiries. It’s the lowest priced Twin Step on the market and it’s been for sale for over 8 months. I don’t understand why. Is the pre owned performance boat market that bad??? Some constructive input would be helpful...

That is a nice boat! Is that the old Miami Two Step? I am thinking that the market is just slow right now. I am in the same situation with my Apache. I have had a lot of calls and a few people that claim to be serious, but nobody has taken it yet. All I can say is to just keep using your boat and have fun with it until the right buyer comes along, unless you want to end up nearly giving it away.

That is the old "Miami Two Step", Chet Huffmans boat.
That thing (when Chet had it) was the nicest T/G I'd ever seen/ridden on. It's the first pleasure T/S built. From what I"ve been told (maxonmike) has taken very good care of it as well.
What's next Maxonmike?
It'll sell. When a serious buyer comes and actually looks at it, it'll sell. If it's anywhere close to what it looked like when you bought it, it wont be hard.
Here we are when Chet owned it.

I checked out the boat a few weeks ago for a friend. Unfortunately he was looking for an extended covergirl cabin. I thought it was in good shape. Sharp boat. I beleive its priced very resonable compared to others out there.
Good Luck

Nice boat...I really like it…Here are a couple of things I have seen with regard to the market and where you boat may fit.
1) Power (Custom power sells slower than Merc Power). 525EFI and 500EFI boats are selling if priced right.
2) Price is too high (I was getting offered 2002 boats that dealer were looking at taking in on trade for about 175K last year)
2) Age-7 almost 8 model years old.
3) Supply and Demand . There are more supply of TG's right now than demand....Thank rising cost of materials, insurance, and gas prices for that one. It has eliminated the middle class buyers that make 150-200K per year.
