does anyone remember there was a gun that was for sale on here a while back. it was an older striaght bottom gun that was totally redone. i thing it had 6's on it. it had an orange ,red and yellow type paint job. the cockpit carpit was painted to match the paint job. does anyone know what gun im talking about and does anyone know where it is now. it was one of the nicest guns ive seen.

I believe that you are thinking of the '92 that was beautifully painted in an orange base with 11 other multiple colors. Asking price of $199K. HOT boat, can't remember where she went.

yesrej 03-24-2007 10:42 PM

lucky was all over it but i think you are thinking of the same boat.

Von Bongo 03-24-2007 10:59 PM

It was at LOTO when it was redone. Not sure where it is now. The former owner is a new member here. Check the F-2 gun thread and you can PM him

yesrej 03-24-2007 11:22 PM

anybody have pics?

Cash Bar 03-24-2007 11:56 PM

It's in somebody's avitar, but I can't remember who. The owner was on here a few weeks ago and mentioned where it was delivered to. Michigan or ohio, on the great lakes, if I remember correctly.

It went to lake Cumberland. The new owner has a slip at State Dock.

Yes, Mark painted it. I had the opportunity to see it up close just after Bryan finished the project. He did one of the most thorough jobs of updating a boat, as I have ever seen. Absolutely, no expenses were spared and no corners were cut in the process. It is truly a piece of art. I'm sure the new owner is very happy. Hopefully we'll see it on LOTO a few times over the summer.

Hands down the nicest straight bottom I've ever seen. MAYBE the nicest Top Gun I've seen. I saw it at the Shootout last year, and I was speechless.

I would agree 100% and the naysayers said it was overpriced, it sold in what? 2 weeks....absolutely gorgeous.

People like to bash what they can't have. Bottom feeders need not apply on this boat.

Agreed....I started that thread about it when it was for sale. I love all the people that started comparing this and that to others and cost effectiveness of a "92" gun compared to a newer gun. Just goes to show you, the right buyer will come along.

yesrej 03-27-2007 12:36 PM

ill tell you what. id buy that over a new gun. i need a full cabin boat and with that boat i would so you were buying close to a new boat. i hope it goes up for sale when i start looking.

Outkast Rafe 03-27-2007 10:36 PM

i was just searching for this boat last week

greg bakker 03-28-2007 07:37 PM

that boat is hot as hell awesome job!

Comanche3Six 03-28-2007 08:01 PM

What a powerboat!

r1ver_rat 03-28-2007 10:17 PM

Now if we could only get Cigarette to build these boats again, and make them look like this, and at a better price range, I would be in. Just like Fountain, who still builds the Executioner for us not so wealthy!!

hammer01 03-29-2007 10:43 AM

Wow, beautiful job, curious how the boat appears to have more cockpit space than a standard top gun. It appears to have bolsters in the rear, is that providing extra space or did they achieve it some other way(moving front bolsters, engine bulkhead, etc) or maybe i am just crazy? Great job
