What would you guys think? Upper 60's to low 70's? Full cabin vs. cover girl?

I think a full cabin boat is around 70-72 ish with the 500 EFI,s. From what I remember, the half cabin can add up to 2 miles per hour. I had a 2000 lighter layup vacuum bagged boat with a half cabin and higher X dimension set up by Phil that would consistently run 76/77. With Phil driving, we were just shy of 80. Phil would be pissed that the boat would be 79 point something and wouldn't crack 80 on the GPS.

Thanks. I saw some photos of your old Gun recently and that was a great looking boat as well.

Yes. Sometimes I wish I had kept this boat. It had a new Pirelli floor and complete cockpit re-do. Even the dash panels were redone. None of this actually needed to be done, but the previous owner was super anal.( the boat was only a year old!) The boat was super immaculate and the paint was much nicer in person. The airbrush detail on the gun was incredible! Even I was a little crazy with this boat, having my water and oil filters airbrushed to match!

My buddy has a '93/full cabin TG with 500efi's. 72mph on the gps.....but I believe that they were building them a little bit lighter in those years (92-95) so they would run OK with 502's.

Default happy...for now

I've got a '97 straight gun with 502 MPI's built to 500EFI specs plus a little. They put out about 535 CHP at 5200 RPM's. Last season on stock 26 bravo's I got 71 MPH at 5000 RPM's. This season with my new labbed 26 bravo's from Throttle up I am expecting 73-74 MPH at 5200-5300 RPM's. I guess I should be happy with that??...maybe for this season!
