Jeffrey,

Where is your old boat? New owner still happy w/ it?

Last I heard he was very happy with it but he's been a little reckless a couple of times. Not sure of the details but I believe he flipped it or rolled it some time last year. No one hurt and no harm done to the boat except for some mechanical issues due to being waterlogged or partially submerged. Maybe Tank knows more ...

Story I heard was the guy was selling it and let the possible driver take it for a test run. While running it the potential buyer rolled it (with the owner on board). No bueno. Never heard anything else about it after the initial pic.

The boat in NJ is a 2005. It was in the brochure.

As some have already said, I feel the Gladiator has the sexiest lines of any boat Cigarette has created. The balance of cockpit, hatch and bow is perfect. The "no rub-rail" leaves no margin for error when docking, but adds the smooth look to a hull that already has perfect lines and balance.

As Jeffrey mentioned, they do lack storage, so you must plan for that. My wife and I enjoyed our Gladiator. She never had a problem with not having a cabin since the F2 Top Gun didn't have one, but we did miss the extra storage area. Out boat was the side-by-side version with the longer cockpit which allowed us to put 2 soft-sided coolers behind each bolster and still have plenty of foot room for the passengers in the rear seat.....something that the staggered versions are unable to do.

Once you get a chance to drive one with decent power, it truly is the closest thing to driving a Ferrari on the water! I still remember my sea-trial w/ Bud at Cigarette........103mph and he turns around to look at my father in the back seat!!! The boat handled speed like no other. If you are looking at strictly performance vs. dollars spent, they are some of the cheapest boats to own and maintain. You get a lot of value for the dollar you spend.

They are so smooth, ride awesome in whatever conditions. Lines are awesome. Not anything else out there you can buy with this quality of fit and finish with turn key motors do 93mph and cost around 150-180k.
