the flat rail on the cigs looks cool.........Due ya know where to buy the flat material to put one on....I just repainted my mag and cant decide if i want no rail or lifeline or new style rail
|
My deck is constantly waxed so I like a rail to hold onto
|
I was thinking the same thing. When I wax my deck it is like a skating rink and one slip and....
The rail is like a safety handle to grab onto just in case you need it. |

Ktron,
Sounds like you are getting ready to build another boat. Are you? After thinking about it, I'm not sure how I would build another boat. I would be torn about the rail, but would probably leave it off for aesthetics. |
i like the look without it but i would need it. to tell you the truth if i didnt have no i wouldnt have got a 4 in. x 4in. bruise on my thigh. but i like a waxed bow.

Is there a strengthening component to the rail? Are the decks without rails built stronger(heavier)?
|
You ever consider the rails like Ottis has?? Despite being a pain in the neck to clean, it can come in handy

Wondering what people think about leaving the deck rail off for a cleaner look. I love the new 38 Phil just built without the deck rail. Does anyone really use them?
What do you guys think? DK |
