800hp with a bravo and you want reliability....ha :D You're going to need a spare or two.

Braking drives is what is holding me back on 5 and 6 blade props if I get my slip down and start hooking up I'm afraid of braking drives left and right I have talked to the Konrad guy's but don't want to part with the money

For the record...i have 2 spare bravo's but I'm hoping my maxmachines will hold.

OK then...what drives would you suggest and why? 800HP. And don't say #6's

I think you (as most of us with strait hull guns are) in that area at which it's difficult. Your options are Konrads or 3A's. Both of which are an expensive option which you will maybe recoup 20% of your cost when you resell. The up side is reliability. You can rebuild or even buy a number of xrs for the cost of the conversion. Is the down time trade off worth the reliability?

I'd love to put Konrada on my boat but I figured the cost to be around $35K with moving the engines and another $5k for stuff I forgot to price or didn't know I would need. Drives, transom assemblys, transmissions, hoses, new shift & throttle cables, props and on and on.

The old saying Fast-Reliable-Cheap..pick 2:(

1st Motor made 796 hp @ 5250 and 880 ftLbs at 3200 rpm
2st motor made 778 hp @ 5250 and 880ftLbs at 3200 rpm
so my rpm's are lower then yours I also have Bravo XRs 1.50 and I'm on my third one
30 pitch did not work for me at all it ran 78mph @ 5300 on the rev limiters at about half throttle
now I have a set of 34s labbed bravo's running 84mph at 5300rpm on the rev limiters with about 26% slip
I also tryed a set of stock 32s from BBlades and ran 84 mph at 5300 rpm a little better slip
stock bottom with no hook and mph on gps
let me know what props you try
I'm thinking 5 or 6 blades????
Don

If your high slip is due to high drives then the 5B and 6B props may be an option...something definately worth looking at.
