Was a National marine boat. NOT my favorite paint job.

OL40SVX 07-17-2007 11:13 AM

Sold new by Ocean Performance. Richie Rich graphics. Was there when it was first sea trialed. Featured in the Miami boat show in 2003 I believe. I know Larry Goldman/Xtreme Marine had the boat for a while then sold it. Has been in Long Island at Mrd and in Fl. I think Joeseph Tanaglia was the first owner. Richie did nice work on that paint job. I personally dont mind it. There is a lot of detail in it. It seems you are the owner so congrats on the boat. You will love the Gladiator!! I know we do!!

Wild 07-17-2007 11:18 AM

Boat was sold, has been sanded and repainted by Vincent Custom paint and it will reside at lake of the ozarks

PS - not mine

OL40SVX 07-17-2007 11:25 AM

Lets see some pics of that new paint if anyone has them.

Wild 07-17-2007 01:16 PM

Thank goodness it is being repainted. Richie Rich must have been on acid that day.

Hopefully he left the woman in bondage with the sword swinging gladiator on the rear hatch!:evilb:
The ladies must have really appreciated that scene.

First of all, you are in good shape. Nobody paints the Cig logo better than Harold, that is fact. Secondly, I believe the regular oval is the second version of the original style logo. However, Since Skip took over, alot of the oval logos have been stretched out. Its all personal taste. I prefer the original but have got used to the newer stretched out versions

P.S. Where is your Cig with the newer logo?? Want me call Philly? :D

jonb74 07-17-2007 06:13 PM

Guys, Thanks for the comments.. I have been giving this boat the TLC it's need since april. I should be on the water by aug 1st with a brand new vincent paint job and a totaly redone boat. He has been great to work with and is just as picky as I am. I will post pics as soon as I can. If anyone has history on this boat I would love to hear it. Thanks Jon

pm203 07-17-2007 06:16 PM

Can't wait to see it! I'm sure it will be awesome! Good luck with it.

Here's the new Cig/logo (see next post)...all it needs is motors and a few other things; and please don't call Phil on my behalf, send him a Starbucks gift card instead!!!

It's stretched out due to the boat being 1' longer than the original 38! :D haha.....

I always thought that boat had one of the nicest interiors in it that Cigarette ever did. Good luck with the boat and I can't wait to see the new paint!
