Default Does this sound right?

'86 Cafe with Gen6 502's stock except for Dart single plane intake and BG 850 carb, TRS drives, 23P Mirages, full gas & 3 people. Boat hits 5000 rpms (after that sticks hit trim switches) on the GPS 58mph. At 4000 rpms cruise at 49mph. I know I have to adjust throttle cables, and should hit atleast 54-5500rpms and get a few more mph out of the beast maybe 65. Am I right?

Thanks-

What hp are the 502's putting out? (415hp) if so I think 65mph is a little high for a cafe with trs, 3 people and full of gas. Just my .02

5400-5500 rpms sounds a little high too.

What ratios did they offer in the TRS? That is one drive I know absolutely "0" about.

Yeah, on stock 502's, I seem to recall that Mercury says 5200 or 5300 ( 5250 maybe ? ) is redline.
