Default '06-'07 TG Speeds

This is probably in here somewhere already but....what speeds can be expected from 38TG with 525's (side-by-side) XR drives?

That's it? I would have expected more. Do staggered engine set up really add that much top end? Next logical question is has anyone had experience with adding whipples to 525's in a 38 TG and had good results??

If you buy a 2007 Top Gun with the basics it will run around 88mph. The 2006 GT's are on the slow side becuase they have more options. The pre 2006 TG's (old body style) run 86-87mph. Also, contrary to what people say, there is only one TG with 525's running 90+mph on a consistent basis and that is our old F2 Top Gun.

IMO, I would buy a 700hp N/A or SC boat before a boat with 525's and whipples. I have heard they had some problems and I don't know if they have been straightened out yet. It would be smart to check that out if you want to go this route.

With the stag. set-up you may see a mph more, if any. Hope this helps.

My neighbor bought his '04 w/525s from Phil the same weekend we bought ours. He claims his runs 86-87. Haven't ridden in the boat and don't know what wheels he's running so I can't verify speed claims.

You have to have a very big lake to get 89 out of a 525 boat, however if you do it will do it, just be patient.
