31' Cig Bullets
 

Just looking for feedback on two local boats. Seem like pretty good deals and I know this is the place to find out. ;)

man i can't believe the prices on these things.

Both are pretty much all stock Bullets, which is about what you would expect to pay for one like that. And for someone with a limited startup budget might seem like a bargain. But we all know the cost of the upgrades and changes. Both ads have a long list of things, that are all standard on Cigs. But lets start adding up the cost of upgrades:

New dash and gauges, and white out front end
Newer 502, or bigger
Swim platform
4 blade props
New interior in cockpit
New cabin interior
New fancy paint work
And on and on

Add it all up and it makes mine an even better bargain.

I like the one on Yachtworld. Other than the cabine interior!

I really like your boat, but my "first big boat" budget doesn't go quite that far. :cool:

I've been doing a bit of research on boats for a while now and I'd like to hear from Cig owners what sets the Cigs apart. They hold their value better than most boats, from what I've seen. How would a 31' Cig Bullet compare to other comparable 31'-ish boats of the same time period, like a Formula 311? I'll have my boat at LOTO. Is the Cig the best rough water ride for that size?

Looks like the Cig at Double Diamond might be a better deal. Seller could be ready to unload. Might have to check it out. Obviously depends on how tight it is and whether it needs anything. I can live w/o updates for a while as long as a boat is solid. That's always the question, isn't it? :D Survey!

Between those two, definately go for the 1988 at DoubleDiamond. The engines alone are what triggers that deal. If they're truly Merc 420HP's, they'll have all the goods on the insides and idle smoother than anything. I love my 420HP's in my 33 Cig.

I crawled around the 1988 one rainy afternoon, and everything seemed in line. But just as Lakeluvr says, it's all original and could use some updating. Lakeluvr's Bullet is completely refurbished and will never depreciate.
