Default Trying to get a friend in a Gladiator.......

Right now he has a 38 Scarab with 825 blower motors and 5 Drives. He wants a sit down boat, but cant afford a maximus. hes been looking at 42 Fountain PRs but im trying to get him in a Cig. He wants to take the motors and drives out of the Scarab and run them in whatever he buys. Will a 36 run ok with 5 drives and that much power?

His goal for the Scarab was to cruise at 70 around 4000 RPMs. We accomplished that so im not sure. One of the things he wanted though is to have a boat he didnt have to pull with a dually. He will if he has to though. He does now.

The motors wont be a problem, it's the drives....don't think 5's will work well on a gladiator, then you have the transmission issues (i.e. room in the engine compartment and throwing the CG off by pushing the motors forward).

Dont need a dually for the glad. I assume you're looking at 1 teens with that power in a glad.

There was a Gladiator that was converteted to a transmission boat. It was used as a race boat as I recall.
