This No-Tech was custom painted for Jassby last year. Now this is custom! A couple cans of Krylon, handing from the ceiling on a string. :ernaehrung004: :D :cool-smiley-026:

That's gonna cost ya. It would involve a cantilevered string and a protractor. :hitfan:

If AudioFN or Too Old owned the boat, you could get away with such. Neither ever gets a boat wet. :drink:

Now, that is talent. I know it when I see it!

The '07 in question is a "NEW" boat. As such, the factory, and Mercury, will back the product. Try to get that from a used boat owner. Also, since it was the OSO boat, it has been OVER maintained. OSO has everyone in the biz as friends, so it is never an issue.

Sure it needs paint(if that's what you like) but the little dress-up items are not that expensive and I am sure could be worked into a deal.

I've been on this boat several times and it runs like a raped ape. It is approx 800bs less than an equivalent TG. I have personally seen the care and maintenance given to this boat.

Besides, you can not compare that boat to an 04. 04 has old deck, old style interior, and old seats.

Hey. Sounds like it was a good deal. Maybe some of the others will come down. What year did they change the deck and seats? What exactly changed on the deck?

Please define new. Just being on a certificate of origin from the manufacturer with the warranty cards not punched doesn't make it new. I could be wrong, but I assume this boat has been on alot of poker runs and has more than a few hours on it. What do the hour meters read? Not knocking it, just asking.

I believe it has about 70 hrs, but I am not sure. Most runs it has been on have been run at or near the rear as OSO likes to be able to help stranded boaters. Occasionally it would get in front early to get pics of the boats as they passed by.

Technically, it may or may not be new. However, as I said, it has definitely been over-maintained.

I believe it has been on 9 poker runs in 14 months. (?) However, it is rarely used for anything but PR events.

It is also stored inside and handled by an extremely capable staff including Cig's own people.

05 was actual year 06 was the model year of the change, the deck is completely different. More rounded in the front, cockpit moved forward, more room in the engine room.

in 05 the newer seats started to enter the arena, see the attached pic number 1

also pictured is an 05 old deck and dash, new seats, pic number 2

06 new deck, dash, seats, ets as seen in pic 3.

you all might remember the 39 unlimited 05 models had the side by side "homo" seat as they called it. It was short lived. This was the same time the 38 was also introduced with the new deck, etc.

so 05 was the transition year for the 38. 05 was the start of the new 39 unlimited.

the link below is a 39 unlimited 05 with the homo seat.

as for the deck change, here is an 04 and and 07. see the change in the angle of the fairing and the pointiness versus the roundness of the point of the bow. Not to mention the pre 06 38's had a vent forward of the T/S marking on the side of the boat.

in order to see the roundness of the bow you need to see an overhead shot.

the older deck also had two deck hatches and two raised lines in the fiberglass vs the new has one hatch and no raised lines.

the difference in person is clearly obvious. the way to tell for sure is the old deck and cockpit had a map holder on the starboard side and two cupholders on the horizontal area in front of the passenger, the newer deck has that area on an angle.

06 was the absolute change year

I just bought the '03 38Comp that Donzi used as their promotion boat (boat shows / poker runs). The benefits to this were: Certificate of Origin = me as the original owner, full factory waranty on boat, and finance rate of a new boat (typically lower than the rates of a used boat). The engines and drives may or may not be under warranty but I am hoping not to need to find out!:p
